The UK University Search Virtual Fair is designed for Year 12 & 13 students, their parents and teachers. It’s a perfect alternative to Open Days for Year 12s, and will allow Year 13s to carry out Clearing research to prepare them for the release of their predicted grades in August. Year 11 students are also welcome to join if they’re interested in exploring their future options. The event will allow all attendees to learn more about the post-18 opportunities universities, colleges, and apprenticeship providers across the UK have to offer.
The Virtual Fair is completely free of charge for all students, parents and teachers.
You will need to register for the UK University Search Virtual Fair to be able to login. Please complete a registration form on the homepage (as either a student, a parent, or a teacher). You will then be able to login to the event from 12:00 on Wednesday 17 June until Friday 17 July, by using the Login button in the top-right of your screen.
The event will be live from 12:00 - 18:00 on Wednesday 17 June, when live chats will be available with university or college ambassadors, and we will be showing live webinars. You can continue to login to the event at any time until Friday 17 July, but you won’t be able to chat to representatives or view live webinars. You can still visit stands, download documents, view information and view the recorded webinars in the auditorium during this time. The event will close on Friday 17 July.
Yes, there’s no limit on the number of times you can login to the UK University Search Virtual Fair. You can visit the event multiple times during the live period from 12:00 - 18:00 on Wednesday 17 June if you’re only free for short periods of time, and come back another day (until Friday 17 July) to gather more information or catch recorded webinars if you wish. You’ll just need to use the Login button at the top-right of your screen to re-enter the fair.
Yes, you will be able to login to the UK University Search Virtual Fair at any time until Friday 17 July. You will only be able to live chat with representatives and view live webinars from 12:00 - 18:00 on Wednesday 17 June, but you will still be able to access everything else, and view the recorded webinars, after this.
The event has two main rooms, an Exhibition Hall and an Auditorium. In the Exhibition Hall, you can visit stands for different universities and colleges. At each stand, you can view information about the exhibitor, download documents, view videos, visit their website, and talk to their representatives or ambassadors live to receive answers to any questions you have. You can chat to representatives using the chat function, you can talk over the phone, or you can talk over webcam, whichever you are the most comfortable with. In the Auditorium, you can view live webinars on a range of subjects from our exhibitors. To see the webinar timetable, please click “Event Timetable” at the top of this page. Whilst viewing a live webinar, you can ask questions in the chat and receive answers directly from the exhibitor. All of our webinars will be recorded, so if you miss one you can view the recording in the Auditorium too.
There is no limit on the amount of time you can spend at the event, and you can continue to log in at any time until Friday 17 July if you feel you need more information from any of the exhibition stands, or you would like to view the recorded webinars again.
Every exhibition stand will have representatives and ambassadors available for you to chat to between 12:00 and 18:00 on Wednesday 17 June. You can also ask our webinar presenters questions in the chat during their live session. Please note that you will only be able to chat to exhibitors from 12:00 to 18:00 on Wednesday 17 June when the event is live, this will not be available afterwards.
You can download documents from any university or college provider by clicking the “Document” tab on their stand in the Exhibition Hall. You can then choose from a list of documents that the exhibitor has uploaded. By clicking “Download” your chosen document(s) will be added to your Swag Bag, and you can download all of these at once when you choose to leave the fair.
A webinar is a video which features a university or college representative talking about a topic such as how to write a personal statement, taking an apprenticeship, or how to apply through clearing. Our webinars will be taking place in the Auditorium, and they will be 25 minutes long. During the webinar, the representative will talk you through the topic and tell you a little more about their institution or company. If you watch the webinar live, you will have the chance to ask questions in the chat. All of our webinars will be recorded, so if you miss one you can view the recording in the Auditorium too, but you will be unable to ask questions.
You do not need to book our webinars to view them. You can view them live in the auditorium on Wednesday 17 June, or watch the recorded versions until Friday 17 July.
You can ask questions in the chat during the live webinar, and a representative for the university or college will try to answer your question. You can only ask questions during the 25 minutes the webinar is live, so if you are viewing a recorded webinar you will not be able to ask questions, only watch the video.
A webcam is not required at any point during the event. You can video chat with university or college representatives at their stands if you have a question for them, but this is completely optional. The webinars in the Auditorium are one-way, so you do not need a webcam or a microphone to view these.
Any university or college you have shown an interest in (by clicking on their stand, downloading documents, or following links) may contact you via email after the event to give you more information. If you do not wish to receive any further communications from this exhibitor, you will simply need to unsubscribe using the link on their email.   1. Attendees will be made up of students aged 15-19, parents of these students, teachers and school or college staff. UK University Search do not permit any other attendees at the event.
  2. Attendees will not be permitted to chat or interact in any way with other attendees at the event.
  3. Attendees will only be able to chat directly with exhibitors (universities, colleges, training providers, student related organisations).
  4. Exhibitors are all employees or representatives from universities, training providers and student related organisations. All exhibitor representatives are DBS checked, named and verified by individual institutions.
  5. Only attendees can initiate chat with an exhibitor and leave this at any point.
  6. Attendees taking part in webinars can submit questions to be answered by presenters. Presenters are all again representatives of educational institutions.
  7. Attendees are reminded to ensure all questions and responses to exhibitors are polite and courteous.
  8. The virtual fair will be monitored by UK University Search staff. For any assistance during or after the event email info@ukuniversitysearch.com and your query will be dealt with asap.
  9. Attendees can choose to use the video chat function when speaking to directly to an exhibitor. This is completely optional and attendees are not required to use the camera function. It can also be turned on or off at any point.
